What Your Brain, Dogs and Electric Shocks Have To Do With Your Automatic Success…

Motivation, Success 2 Comments »

Have you ever done something really weird, and then at the end of it think “Hmmmm, that actually came out all right in the end”?

That’s what happened to me today…

You see, for today’s post, I tried to record a message for you, by talking “into” the camera, but I just couldn’t get it right. So, finally, after several (it felt like hundreds) of attempts, I decided to actually interview myself. And it worked like a charm!

The following recording is of me interviewing myself (I know that sounds wacky) on the fascinating subject of classical conditioning and how you can use it to develop new good habits or get rid of bad habits, in as little as five minutes! That’s right, I’ve accidentally stumbled upon a scientific way of getting rid of bad habits in as little as 5 minutes - if you know what you’re doing.

So, no longer do you have to wait 21 days before you have a new habit ingrained in your subconscious mind. With this new technique, you could certainly change habits VERY fast indeed.

To find out how, simply watch the video below:

If you missed it, here are the three main responses that Pavlov got from his experiments with dogs:

1. Habituation - where you get used to a specified low intensity stimulus over a period of time. For example, getting used to the noises from trains over time if you live next to a railway line.

2. Sensitization - where you become more sensitive to low intensity stimuli soon after a rather high intensity stimulus, but it then tapers off over time. For example, you will be much more sensitive to someone touching you on your shoulder unexpectedly after a bomb explosion just went off close by than before the bomb explosion. But then over time, you will become less “sensitive” again.

3. Classical Conditioning - where a low intensity stimulus is immediately followed by a high intensity stimulus. For example, say you want to get rid of the habit of reading your email and wasting time when you’re not supposed to (used to happen to me all the time). Whenever you get the urge to read the email (when you’re supposed to be doing something else), you simple “shoot” yourself on the wrist with an elastic rubber. Over a very short period of time you’ll start associated your unwanted impulse to read email with the pain on your wrist, and before you know it, those impulses will magically disappear.

That’s it in a nutshell, but you really have to watch the video to get the full picture.

If there is anything you didn’t understand in the video, please leave a comment, and I’ll answer it to the best of my ability.

6 Deadly Mistakes Business Owners Make For Growing Their Businesses And How To Avoid Them…

Business, Marketing 9 Comments »

Ok, today I went through a bit more of a special effort for you. I decided to put together a 10 minute video explaining to you the 6 deadly mistakes business owners make for growing their businesses and how you can avoid them.

I’ve put it on Youtube, so all you need to do, is click on the play button, sit back, relax and absorb the information. Perhaps it might be a good idea to even take some notes, because I provide some valuable strategies that will help you grow your business in at least 6 different areas.

Once again, if there is anything that you don’t like about the video, or if there is anything else that you would like to find out about, simple reply by submitting a post on this blog. I would love to hear from you.

Without further a do, here goes:

Here’s a quick summary of the 6 deadly mistakes:

1. Not generating new leads continually
2. Not focusing on getting more referrals
3. Neglecting to improve conversion rates of new leads into paying customers
4. Not implementing any strategies to increase the number of times a customer comes back to buy from you
5. Not thinking about increasing the size of each transaction
6. No tested and proven methods for increasing your profit margins

That’s about it in a nutshell.

Found: Your copy of The Law Of Success by Napoleon Hill

Motivation, Success No Comments »

Here’s a quick and urgent message…

I was just surfing the net this morning, when I accidentally stumbled upon an amazing website…

But here’s the funny thing…

I think the website must be quite old or something, because the form on the first page doesn’t actually work.

BUT, I’ve found a link at the bottom of the page that still works – a link where you can get The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill (the out-of-print book I’ve been raving about so much) and heaps of bonus products at a fraction of the price I had to pay.

If you’re really serious about becoming successful, I can’t recommend this book more.

Here’s what you need to do right now, before this guy’s (currently) working link expires:

Step 1

Click on this link:

The Law Of Success by Napoleon Hill

Step 2

Immediately scroll right down to the bottom of the page.

Step 3

Click on the link that says Napoleon Hill’s “Law of Success”.

You’ll then get taken to the page where you can get your very own copy of The Law of Success for a ridiculously low price (I had to pay an embarrassing amount more for my copy). And then I didn’t even get to have all those amazing bonus products that this guy is offering.

Now, I’m not sure how long this link will be active for. It could be that the website is currently in-between upgrades or something. I really don’t know.

But to make sure you get to take advantage of this amazing offer while it’s still there, I suggest you check it out right now.

Here’s the link again:

The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill

It’s a no brainer.

How To Develop Self-Confidence, Guaranteed!

Motivation 10 Comments »

Today has been a very exciting and interesting day for me. I’ve just re-discovered a great little technique that helps you develop self-confidence. If you remember from a few posts back, mentions that self-confidence is one of the key ingredients for success. In fact, Hill included it as the second chapter in “The Law Of Success”. So, it must have been pretty important.

Now, I’d like to share this formula with you again, but first, I have a little story for you…

A few days ago I was reading ’s fantastic book called “The Irresistible Offer”. And tell you what, if you are really serious about being successful in business, I would strongly recommend you read his book.

Inside the book, Joyner talks about one occasion at a seminar, where he asked the audience of around 600 people whether they have read the book called “”. Of course, about 90 percent of the audience raised their hands. So then he asked all of those people to stand up.

Next, he asked how many of them remembered the part where Hill talks about developing self-confidence. And about 99% of the audience raised their hands. All of those people who couldn’t remember the story, he then instructed to sit down. Then he asked how many of them have actually memorized the formula for self-confidence (as was instructed by Hill) and if they had not memorized it, to please sit down.

Guess what happened?

Everybody sat down! Not one single person remained standing.

In a way this is not too surprising if you look at the world around us. If you look at the majority of people (as in 95 percent probably) you’ll notice that they don’t actually implement what they learn. Of course this can be fatal to your success. And Mark Joyner clearly illustrated that point during his seminar.

Now, I actually wanted to tell you about the self-confidence formula for this post. So here goes…

If you’ve seen it before, you know what I’m talking about.

But here’s my question: Have you actually memorized it, and have you followed the instructions, to the letter, as Hill instructs on those pages of his book? If not, here is another chance for you. Here is the exact same wording used by Hill:

#######################

First: I know I have the ability to achieve the objective of my definite purpose in life, therefore, I demand of myself, persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

Second: I realize that the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physically reality, therefore, I will concentrate my mind for 30 minutes daily, upon the task of thinking about the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

Third: I know through the principle of autosuggestion, any desire I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it, therefore I will devote 10 minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE.

Fourth: I have clearly written down a description of my DEFINTE CHIEF AIM in life, and I will never stop trying, until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

Fifth: I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built on truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward another can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.

I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once a day, with full FAITH that it will gradually influence my THOUGHTS and ACTIONS so that I will become a self-reliant, and successful person.

#######################

Now, here is my challenge to you. Start memorizing the text above right now, say it out loud every single day, and start seeing the dramatic growth in your self-confidence. I mean, if Hill, who took 20 years to put together this amazing philosophy, tell you that it works, it’s at least worth a go! You’ve got nothing to lose.

I remember the first time I tried it. I could see a dramatic increase in my self-confidence, even after only a few days! So it was a nice refresher to look at this brilliant formula for creating self confidence again. I must admit, I’ve been neglecting it a bit lately, but I’m all fired up about it again now.

Print this post out right now, stick it on your wall where you can see it all the time, and start memorizing this amazingly powerful formula for developing self confidence in your life.

Interview With Drop-Outs Bill Gates And Steve Jobs…

Business, Interviews, Motivation, Success 3 Comments »

I’ve just watched an amazing interview between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs…two drop-outs that have made it BIG time against all odds…

This is a really good summary of why they are as successful as they are, and ties in really well with everything I wrote about in Millionaire Drop-Out Secrets.

You can check out the whole interview here:

Interview between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates

Here are some key points I picked up from the interview that might be useful to you…

  • One of the most important things about success is to hire the right people.
  • The past doesn’t matter. You have to look forward and focus on what is coming up. It’s ALL about what happens tomorrow.
  • Do what you are good at, and partner with people who are experts at the things that you are not so good at, but need doing. “It’s really hard for a company to do everything” - Steve Jobs.
  • Ask yourself the question: What is your life work? Answer it, and then do it!
  • Is your goal to be the richest guy in the cemetary? Makes you think doesn’t it!?
  • Bill Gates and Steve Jobs consider themselves the luckiest guys, because they did what they love doing, at the right time and at the right place and they were surrounded by very intelligent people. Is this what you are doing right now? There’s gotta be some sense in this after all - two of the most successful people in the world are recommending it!
  • It is extremely important to have passion for whatever you are doing. The thing is, starting a new business or venture is so hard, any rational person would give up if they weren’t passionate about what they were doing!
  • These are some key points from two of the and most people in the world. Listen to the interview, and pick up some incredible nuggets of wisdom from these masters.

    Warm regards

Lacking Some Enthusiasm? Here’s How To Get It Back For Good…

    Motivation, Success 2 Comments »

Have you ever met someone for the first time, and upon making contact with them, you just felt this incredible surge of rushing through your body? And no matter what you did, you just seem to be uplifted while you were in close proximity of this person?

    Or…

Have you ever been in a room full of people, and all of a sudden someone walks in and the ‘energy’ in the room just goes to a totally new level?

What do these people have in common? Why do they seem to have this amazing aura of energy around them that seems to infect anyone they get in contact with?

    It’s called enthusiasm.

In the seventh chapter of , Hill states that:

“Enthusiasm is a state of mind that inspires and arouses one to put action into a task at hand. It does more than this – it is contagious, and vitally affects not only the enthusiast, but all with whom he comes in contact.”

The interesting thing to note about enthusiasm though, is that you are in total control of how much of it you possess yourself. That’s right, it’s not only a select few people in the world who can have it. You can have it too. And you can find it all in the state of your own mind.

I must admit though, this sounds easier than it probably is. There are those people out there who just seem to be enthusiastic naturally. And then there are those who don’t ever seem to get enthusiastic about anything in particular at all.

So, what shall one do, if one falls under the latter category of not easily getting enthusiastic about anything, but you perhaps want to find out how?

Is it all a lost cause? Not likely.

Hills talks about 7 key sources where you can get enthusiasm from naturally. These are:

    1. A or that your really love doing.
    2. And environment where one comes in contact with others who are enthusiastic and optimistic.
    3. Financial .
    4. Complete mastery and application in one’s daily work, of the fifteen Laws of Success.
    5. Knowledge that one had served others on some helpful manner.
    6. Good .
    7. Good clothes, appropriate to the needs of one’s occupation.

Of course, all of these are attainable without too much effort. But the last one struck me as a bit of strange one. How could wearing good clothes make you more enthusiastic? Won’t it simply increase your level of vanity?

After reading the rest of the chapter, it all became clear to me – it is indeed important to have good clothes and to dress well, not for others, but for yourself. It’s all about how it makes you feel.

Just imagine seeing the Queen in her underwear, walking down the main street of London (ok, granted, perhaps this was not exactly a nice example to use). Aside from how other people would perceive her, how do you think she would feel about not wearing her normal royal attire? I doubt that she would feel royal at all!

The same principal applies to yourself. It’s not what other people think or feel about your clothes, but it’s about how it makes you feel when you are wearing those clothes.

Hill talks about how, just after the war, he went to buy three brand new suits, even though he had no to his name at that stage. He then went walking on a busy road at the same time every morning – it happened to be the same route that an important and successful walked every morning.

Now, because Hill looked the part, and he felt the part (even though in reality he might not have been the part), he managed to strike up a relationship with this very successful publisher. Before long, Hill managed to convince the publisher to publish his , which turned out to be a very successful publication in the end – all because Hill managed to make himself look and feel the part.

Just imagine what would have happened if he wore some worn out clothes and walked around with a defeated look on his face. Do you think the successful publisher would have noticed him at all? Perhaps not.

So, in short, there are many ways that you can increase your enthusiasm. But it all comes down to your – something that you actually have control over. And it’s always up to you to make sure that you stay in control of your state of mind.

There are other methods for your mind to become more enthusiastic, but perhaps I’ll leave this for another post. Can you think of any? Hint: talks about these methods at length in his other famous book, . Go read it now!
